Description
Simone Donegal is a successful Irish paediatrician.
Her seemingly ideal marriage is disrupted by the shadow of suspicion that appeared during a dramatic dinner party with close friends of herself and her husband Mark. Disturbed by the discovery of Mark’s dirty secrets, Simone visits her friend Magda in the idyllic village of Drosia on the island Zakynthos.
At the same time, the village is struck by the murder of a popular young fisherman Emil, which brings the handsome inspector David Dimitrakopolus to the island and into Simone’s life.
While trying to get her thoughts straight, Simone discovers something that shakes the very foundation of her world.
Far from the tranquillity Simone expected, unease, fear, and violence come precariously close to her. Together with her internal struggles and fight with her delusions, this pushes her over the edge.
Her old dreams of painting surface again. Supported by her “sisters”, Anne and Dona, the lesbian couple, and her soul mother, Magda, Simone goes through metamorphosis and turns another page of her life.
